My name is Susan Shamash and as a progressive, independent rabbi, I am passionate about “open tent” Judaism. In January of 2017, I was ordained as a rabbi by ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal, which is part of a worldwide effort to fully embrace a contemporary egalitarian Judaism as a profound spiritual practice and social transformer, reaching beyond religious boundaries and institutional structures.  

Now I am using my voice to share this vibrant form of cutting edge Judaism with the metropolitan area of Vancouver, BC through my various events and engagements.
